March Madness

Before the NCAA Tournament heats up, a smaller dose of March Madness is delivered in the form of conference tournaments. Each school, regardless of their regular season record, has a chance to scoop up a precious spot in the postseason if they get on a hot streak. Because of this, fans from schools all over flock to these conference tournaments, hoping to inspire their team to beat the odds and come out on top.

We were hired to deliver some long-lasting memories of all the madness to fans of the Mountain West Conference — home of Air Force, BYU, Colorado State, New Mexico, San Diego State, TCU, UNLV, Utah and Wyoming. A few of the teams will be moving to different conferences next season and the following year, so it was a last chance for some of these long-standing rivals to face off on the hardwood.

Fans got to sport a jersey of their favorite team and strike their favorite pose and walk away with their own trading card within a minute. Sponsored by the conference itself, a good number of people couldn’t believe it was free, asking how much it was to get the photo afterwards, a statement that is usually flattering because it speaks highly of the quality of the photo and final product.

When it was all said and done, SDSU took the men’s title and Utah captured the women’s crown, and hundreds of fans got to take home a cool keepsake to remember it all with. We’d like to think it’s those fans who were the real winners.
